I had hoped P.O.X. would have been a Necromancer mainly because the word pox refers to a disease. P.O.X. using a double elite build much like Jacado the Putrid.
As for R.O.X., he could have been an Earth Elementalist (rocks...)
N.O.X. would be something I'd have to think over more than the other two.

I liked the bosses, I was fortunate enough to be packing BHA on the NOX fight but I nearly got wiped on the 3rd phase when about 50 golems kerploded.. Had to run the risk of using Death Pact Signet but I still made it through on the first attempt.
The Canthan one was brilliant, better than most of the missions on the actual factions campaign.
The ToA one was my least favourite, but by no means bad.
Also, I like how they hid the secret lair in a part of Tyria that most people can completely skip.

NOX is Latin for night. (i.e. Nightfall)
GOX refers to GIR, from Invader Zim. (while Zimm = Zim)

Do the Tyrian one in HM, it was much easier that way imo.
Overall I enjoyed the quests,
Thanks Anet

the canthan was pretty beast. i don't think i'd ever seen so many npcs fighting on screen at one time. it was cool. sadly, i haven't gone to the nightfall place with my #1 yet, so i gotta do that at some point. otherwise, it was a blast with with my friend.

After one round I must admit that I really liked the quests and seriously consider doing them with the rest of my characters as well (so another 17 rounds ahead ). M.O.X. is pretty charming as well, the way he walks really makes me smile

Good job Anet for a good and enjoyable update. Hope there is more to come in the future before GW2 actually come out.

Ridiculous health and damage just mean you have to cast Protection Spirit on the person taking the damage, use daze if he is a caster and blind if not. Then add some niche skills like Spoil Victor and Grenth's Balance to speed up the fight. Not more skill needed to kill one of those then a boss with less health. It just takes longer.
The boss encounters would be a lot better if Anet actually continued its design with them. GW is designed as teamgame. Then why are we fighting a single boss? If instead of 1 guy we would be fighting a team with 3 monks, 2 melee and 3 midline, it would be a lot harder. Just make the boss be the leader of that group, but you have to kill them all to win. Add a hardrez on at least one of the midline and you are set. The only time I ever had problems in GW was in HM when I came across a group of 3 monks and just didn't manage to kill them before their warriors killed me.
Anyway, the quests were about as hard as any part of GW, which is very easy. Fun, but easy.

Agreed, usually pve = grinding = pointless time spent for me
But the 3 bosses were actually FUN for the first time in 2 years. But I guess there can be more, say, instead of 3 golems, make it 10, and that way the enjoyment will last longer.(and for the last one, make it a frenzy, where all 10 golem fight against a party of 8 or so and numorous npcs)

agree with OP, it was a very surprising update, i knew about the new derv hero when it was announced, but wasn't expecting the additional quests, which were a nice surprise.
Just completed them all now and it was very fun, sort of short versions of dungeons which I found very long and drawn out. These were just right for a bit of fun, gg anet

I liked the ToA quest. My volume was loud, but it sounded so cool when the golems came down.

>>> NOX.
I didn't really notice though. I did that one with a couple of guildies. They killed NOX while I ran around with my assassin killing off all the other lesser golems.
Still it was nice to see some new content and I have a feeling that GW2 will be alot like this. Login, find someone walk up to you and say "hello so-and-so! Disasterous even x has happened at y and only you can save z! Will you please help us?" It'll be new and different, which might keep it interesting for a little while at least.

Everything is easy in gw if you have the right build. Stop saying: "aww man, it was too easy" of course it was! Now bring a non-interrupt build like i did and it WILL be a challenge!
Anyway, i loved the quests expecially the one with prince Bokka: "women first...no! Prince First"!!
Thx anet!

Umm for the interrupting part, I noticed that the bosses will do a countdown while casting their gigantic nuke spell, but the spell will take longer than the countdown itself. If you let the bosses finish counting down and then using an interrupt, it works better than just spamming them. Just something I noticed, don't know if it works 100% of the time though.
But yeah, the boss fights were pretty cool. Good job Anet.

I wish they'd remove the boss status from them, though, they really do not need that double damage bonus...

Challengeous? Love it........
Back on topic; these quests were quite good, but most of them seemed to be about surviving swarms of enemies such as titan quests, margonites invade kourna/vabbi/RoT etc. Would have been nice to do something different. However when the bosses turned up, they were good, and I enjoyed the battles. My conclusion is that I would have liked any of them to be repeatable, even with a minimal/no reward.
I must add that I am grateful for any new PvE content and the Bokka boss was quite fun (particularly for the fear he engendered in me as he killed 5 of my h/hs just prior to dying).
When I heard about this, I really didn't expect much in the way of questing from MOX, more or less turn up, speak to some dude, and get a Golem dervish (yawn). However I had a lot of fun and, additionally, got to visit The Falls again. So gg ANet. Keep em coming (I hope!)

Must give props to Anet here. At least we have been given Something, which is better than nothing. Yup nox required 3 actual players, another good trend.
Normally I try to hold out on the new content, because I'm trying to stretch out the gameplay to make it last. This time I jumped right into the new stuff along with everybody else. Finished the whole quest line before moving on.
I thought mox was supposed to change forms though. He just changes colors, with some minor body changes.
